JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Financial Controller
The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial controlling activities, managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and Tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditor, and Tax authorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanisms, policies, and procedures to enhance compliance to the requirements of the finance and accounting standards and regulations, and insure the required level of internal control.
- Drive the core financial processes including Annual Budget, and Monthly/Quarterly Financial closing and reporting.
- Performing accounting entries, closing accounts, and issuing a monthly audit balance from an online accounting program.
- Follow-up with the company’s external auditor until the annual audited budget is issued and to ensure the company’s commitment to the following: uploading the lists to the Ministry of Commerce website by its auditor, preparing the financial sufficiency file, submitting periodic Tax and Zakat returns, adhering to the companies’ system regarding annual budget requirements and accounting registration clauses .
- Complete the financial adequacy file of the Capital Market Authority periodically according to the requirements of the Authority.
- Submit VAT returns periodically and respond to the Zakat and IncomeAuthority’s inquiries regarding returns.
- Submitting withholding Tax returns periodically according to the regulations of the Zakat and Income Authority.
- Submit the annual Zakat declaration according to the audited budget of the company.
- Responding to the Capital Market Authority’s inquiries regarding financial and accounting matters.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is essential.
- 3-4 years progressive accounting experience.
- Has previous background in Private Equity and Venture Capital or extensive experience in an analytical high performing environment.
- Strong analytical / numerical skills.
- Self-driven, ready to take complete ownership of finance processes.
- Solid understanding of local accounting and VAT regulations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Investment Associate
Associate is an important support role within the investment team, the candidate would be expected to have experience in the negotiation and the structuring of investments, and to be able to lead and manage all aspects of investment circle and portfolio management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and source new investment opportunities, partnerships and market opportunities locally and globally.
- Support the review of incoming deal-flow and make recommendations to the investment team.
- Prepare investment analysis of prospective investment opportunities in start-ups at various stages including early stage and growth stage.
- Lead due diligence exercises and Create financial models, sensitivity tables, investment analyses, and other analyses required to evaluate and pursue investment opportunities.
- Process and manage investment memos.
- Assistance in negotiation of term sheets, review of deal documentation.
- Monitor on-going performance metrics and milestones of existing portfolio companies.
- Pro-active role in structuring fund products or other investment vehicles, and management of CMA application process.
- Develop and manage key relationships with clients, investors and other key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelors or similar degree in finance, business, computer science or any related field.
- Understanding of technology and start-ups in the MENA ecosystem.
- Has previous background in Private Equity and Venture Capital or extensive experience in an analytical high performing environment.
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills.
- Self-starter, pro-active ability to initiate projects and work independently
